What types of rooms are available?
Moagem – Industrial Lodge offers seven types of rooms, all inspired by the industrial atmosphere that gives the building its soul.
From double rooms to rooms with balconies or patios, suites, and family rooms, each space has been designed with raw materials, natural light, and comfortable details that make each stay unique.
Some rooms include a single sofa bed, ideal for those traveling with family or friends, and most are equipped with Hästens beds, ensuring maximum rest.
Regardless of the type, each room reflects the fusion between contemporary design and Alentejo authenticity.
What type of beds are available in the rooms?
Most rooms at Moagem – Industrial Lodge are equipped with Hästens beds, handcraned in Sweden using 100% natural materials.
More than just a bed, it is an experience of absolute comfort, designed to ensure deep and restoraqve rest, in perfect harmony with the tranquil spirit of the Alentejo.
However, there are two special family rooms that do not have this type of Hästens bed, but rather a box lodge concept.
The Box Lodge concept was born from the idea of transforming the way we experience a hotel stay.
Inspired by an urban and creaqve spirit, it offers a new model of non-tradiqonal accommodaqon where the “box” room is the center of the experience.
Each Box Lodge combines minimalist design, comfort, and essenqal furniture for a good night’s sleep.
It is an invitaqon to experience the hotel in a relaxed way, exploring the common areas and the stories that bring the building to life.
Do all rooms have industrial equipment inside?
No. Although industrial inspiraqon is present throughout the concept of Moagem – Industrial Lodge, the rooms do not feature industrial equipment inside.
The design combines raw materials and contemporary details — iron, wood, concrete — with comfort, light, and elegance.
The result is a modern and welcoming space, where industrial style is an aestheqc language, not a funcqonal one.

=>Who are we?
“Buildings, like people, have a life. But unlike people, buildings can live almost forever. After being born, living, and being lived in, they can find a new life. A new truth, hidden by the possibilities and eloquence of time.
We are careful with what buildings feel. We believe in the foundations of their stories, in the architecture of their emotions, in the dreams kept by the walls that heard them.
We knock on the door of their desires to listen to everything they have to tell us. What each of them has planned for us. We know how to see what they were, we listen to what they tell us, and we give them a new sense of future, aligned with their past. In the foundations of their soul, each building is reborn free and different.
We give them a new life and a new voice. We talk to the buildings and they speak for us, telling the world about the passion we feel for what we do. For them, for the cities, and through them, for the people.”
Moagem – Industrial Lodge is part of The Zero Hotels, a hospitality brand that breaks with tradition and proposes a new travel culture — more than just stays, experiences with soul.
The Zero Hotels is a project by the Mainside group, which stands out for reinventing old buildings and applying contemporary design concepts, transforming each space into a place with personality.
Among the projects, the following stand out:
• Zero Box Lodge Porto, which adapts the concept of a capsule hotel to the Portuguese context, with minimalist spaces and a bold approach to urban accommodation.
• Zero Box Lodge Coimbra, where the model evolves into a unique adaptation, maintaining its disruptive DNA and incorporating local architectural elements.
• Cais Urban Lodge, in Lisbon, with apartments and studios in an urban setting that balance modernity and comfort in a city environment.
• At Moagem, located in Viana do Alentejo, we bring this same philosophy of design and authenticity, but with our own signature: iron, wood, and stone elements, fire as a central element, appreciation of the Alentejo landscape, and a contemporary industrial aesthetic.
• Pensão Amor – Madam’s Lodge
Madam’s Lodge, part of Pensão Amor, offers a totally different experience, an immersion in 1960s Lisbon, in a former brothel full of secrets, stories, and characters frozen in time.
Each room is a narrative—it recreates environments of fantasy and memory, with personal objects, old documents, and decor that spark the imagination. There are several themed collections such as “Secret Rooms,” “Lisbon Fantasies,” “Madame’s Treasures,” “Special Corners,” and “Pearls of the World,” all with distinct characteristics in terms of capacity, decor, and atmosphere.
We are, therefore, a network with different faces. Each project has its own identity, but they all share the creation of memorable experiences.

“A real hidden gem. Although the town itself doesn’t have much to offer, this hotel has absolutely everything. Located in a former flour mill, the industrial-style renovation is simply spectacular: they have respected the essence of the original building as much as possible, taking great care with every detail.
It has only been open for three months, but you can already see the care with which it is managed. The cleanliness is impeccable and the staff stands out for their friendliness, kindness, and genuine interest in making you feel at home.
We tried both the restaurant and the breakfast, and it was an incredible experience. The menu
is simple, but everything is made with top-quality products and an explosion of flavors and
contrasts that will surprise you.
It is, without a doubt, the perfect place to disconnect and never want to leave. We will definitely be back.” (translated and Spanish)
